Section Head Of Sustainable Development

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Development Section Head to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sustainability strategies and plans that align with the Saudi Commission For Health Specialties’s objectives and demonstrate a commitment to environmental, social, and governmental responsibility. This role is pivotal in achieving sustainable development within the Commission and ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including the vision 2030 set out in the global Sustainable Development Goals (17 SDGs).

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy Development and Implementation:
• Develop integrated sustainability strategies and plans that reflect the Saudi Commission For Health Specialties’s commitment to environmental, social, and governmental responsibility.
• Implement sustainable development projects and plans according to ISO 26000 standards and key performance indicators.
• Compliance and Vision Achievement:
• Ensure the current business plan complies with all laws and regulations of the Kingdom and achieves the vision 2030 aligned with the 17 SDGs.
• Partnership and Cooperation Enhancement:
• Enhance cooperation and partnerships with different sectors, including governmental and private sectors and international organizations, to promote sustainable development and achieve common goals.
• Project Management:
• Create sustainable development project plans, implement them, and follow up on completion requirements to achieve project objectives and transfer knowledge according to specialty.
• Innovation and Solution Development:
• Develop new solutions and innovations in sustainable development in cooperation with research teams and experienced professionals.
• Explore and adopt new technologies and practices in sustainable development.
• Awareness and Empowerment:
• Increase awareness of the importance of sustainable development among the Saudi Commission For Health Specialties’s employees through activities and training.
• Empower the sustainability development team and leaders with globally accredited training programs and certificates to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Reporting:
• Prepare reports on the Saudi Commission For Health Specialties’s progress in sustainable development projects and incentives, including data analysis and comprehensive reports for senior management and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or related fields.
• Proven experience in sustainability or Corporate social responsibility or Environmental, Social and Governance strategy development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of ISO 26000 standards and sustainable development indicators.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to sustainable development in the Kingdom.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Ability to foster partnerships and cooperate with various sectors.
• Innovative thinker with a commitment to sustainable development solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
