Senior Internal Auditor

Overview of SCFHS:

Saudi Commission for Health Specialties which is a Saudi Arabian scientific commission that regulates health care-related practices and accreditation at all levels in Saudi Arabia.

Overview of the role:

you will be responsible for planning and executing financial, operational, IT, and compliance audits within the organization. You will play a crucial role in evaluating internal controls, identifying areas of risk, and providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• To Develop and execute comprehensive audit programs to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• To Conduct financial, operational, IT and compliance audits in accordance with professional auditing standards and organizational policies.
• To Evaluate the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information, including the identification of significant risks and the assessment of internal control systems.
• To Perform detailed testing of financial transactions, operational processes, and internal control procedures to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
• To Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured audit reports that communicate audit findings, recommendations, and management responses effectively.
• To Collaborate with management and audit clients to develop practical solutions to address identified issues and improve internal controls.
• To Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
• To Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of internal auditing, and incorporate them into audit methodologies and processes.
• To Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors, assisting in their professional development and growth.
• To Assist in the preparation of the annual audit plan, considering the organization's risk profile and emerging trends.

Required qualifications and skills:

• bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or any related field. It is preferred to obtain certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate internal audit department.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of internal control concepts and ability to evaluate and test control effectiveness.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and propose practical solutions.
• Proficient in using audit software and data analytics tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Advanced level in English is required.
